Case Study
Wanderlust Hotel, 8M Real Estate Management
Objective
Innovation in Practice is the precursor to the now ubiquitous Design Thinking. Both frameworks are underpinned by the idea that multi-disciplinary teams can solve wicked problems. 8M Real Estate Management kindly allowed us to use Wanderlust Hotel, a hipster boutique property in Singapore as a case study.

“Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.”
Using the context of our individual disciplines, practice and the location of the hotel, we set about working on a design and marketing collaboration. Our design problem was looking at what value proposition a hotel could offer in order to be distinct.
This project came about to continue my post-graduate research - it was a unique opportunity to create a strategy for the property in the context of the travel industry, the hotel market in Singapore and current international design trends.
A wholly collaborative project, the final design solution included proposing a new business model, brand identity strategy which, if utilized could have been a future-proof solution to the pandemic
This was purely a research project to prove the concept of radical collaboration and the power of design to solve wicked problems for businesses facing uncertainty.
